Fleet based at Aberystwyth for School based contracts 'Bws Ysgol'

Collection features the former KMP Llanberis examples now based in the Bangor allocation.

On the splilt of ARRIVA Mindlands North (with the Cheshire depots going to ARRIVA North West & Wales), only a small number of Lynxes remained in the fleet with the majority previously been allocated to Crewe and Macclesfield. The Lynx has traditionally been allocated to Staffordshire depot's

A collection Mercedes-Benz minibus operated by Arriva Midlands since the merger of Fox County and Midlands North. Included are examples still operated or long since departed the fleet.

Shrewsbury has a collection of Shropshire County Council own Optare Solo's, complete in Shropshire CC blue with branding. Additionally there a few other examples at Wellington/Shifnal depots

This section will include some photos of the Arriva Midlands Fleet (including Fox County). I will one day add a older Arriva Midlands North to represent the Cheshire Depots while in AMN control

A collection of Volvo B10M service buses operated by Arriva Midlands since the merger of Fox County and Midlands North. Included are examples still operated or long since departed the fleet.

Main focus includes examples that operated from the Abermule outstation (of Shrewsbury) prior to the loss of operation, including: 3304 H73 DVM, 3304 H74 DVM, 3309 H580 DVM and 3310 H81 DVM. These also operated in Shrewsbury with 3307 H76 DVM later featuring.

Differing types of Dennis Darts that have operated for ANW&W with current and past examples.

Collection includes operations around Llangollen whilst the operational base was here and since the move to Ruabon. The collection continues to include operations after the 2007 GHA takeover of the business.

Chase Coaches be acquired by ARRIVA Midlands on 26th February 2007 and sadly were finished off on 28th April 2007.

I got into Chase quite late after thinking I shoud sample the Nationals (from January 2007). I managed to ride on the last 25 operational examples between January and April and they will be missed.

Express Motors was established in 1908 and are one of the leading main independent operators in North West Wales. Operations focus around Bangor, Betws-Y-Coed, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Caernarfon, Llandudno and Porthmadog areas.

Photos that don't fit into a main collection

This concern is a subsidiary of Arriva which operates in Milton Keynes, North Buckinghamshire, North Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Formed in 2007 from part of the Worthen Travel which included operation of service 558 (Montgomery - Shrewsbury). It has since lost the 558 and a short time later ceased operations.

In recent times Padarnbus has expanded upon incorporating the main operations of neighboring KMP to form a substantial and interesting presence in North West Wales.

A collection of photos from the demise of G38 YHJ after been withdrawn by Arriva Midlands (views at Chase Coaches yard in Chasetown) through to been acquired for preservation by Simon Charlsey and restored into working order.

This collection is slowly been moved into operators collections.

Main route worked is the 100 between Totnes & Paignton using two open top Bristol VR / ECW's with a closed top example for bad weather. Main focus of this section are of the VR's 1 - UWV 614S, 2 - UWV 604S & 3 - WTU 467W been ex Crosville!

Shamrock Buses of Poole focus on operations in the Poole and Bournemouth areas. Work generally consists of contracted school /college commitments, a free Tesco 'Shoppers' bus service but here are few normal passenger services with the following been notable:

32 Poole - Bournemouth Hospital (Monday to Friday)

This collection for Tanat Valley Coaches is dedicated to only include current fleet members (operational or withdrawn). Departed examples now feature in a new collection (see Departed Fleet collection). I will hope to update descriptions over time. The main focus is of the service work fleet although the coach and school fleet are covered but you won't find any of the LDV style vans on here (sorry I refuse to photograph them!)

July 2009 has been the remaining pair of East Lancs rebodied Leyland Tigers withdrawn, 209 B109 KPF (withdrawn from normal service in late June, restricted to schools and now withdrawn in early July). 262 C262 SPC was withdrawn after service on the 3rd July 2009. Leyland Lynx 269 G209 EOG was wihdrawn on 31st October 2009 and departed the fleet on 16th November 2009 for a new role as a non PSV.

Single bus operation which operates former Crosville Bristol VR VCA 455W on a Friday only V1 (Verwood - Bournemouth - Poole) and has recently started a a Tuesday only (on West Moors school days) a shorter (Verwood - Bournemouth). I have done the full return route twice to day and is highly recomended!

Voel Coaches are based at Dyserth (roughly 4 miles east from Rhyl). They operate a coastal summer service PS1/2 from Presthaven Sands to Rhyl, operated by double deck vehicles (commonly a MCW Metrobus or Leyland Olympian). In addition they operate a variety of School work 'Bws Ysgol' and are well known for their coverage of holiday and day trips.
